R I E K U S

RIEKUS earned his Master Freie Kunst at the Kunsthochschule Kassel (KHK) in Germany cum laude in 2000. The following year he attained the title of Meisterschüler.

Processes of transformation run like a thread through his dynamic oeuvre. His language is direct. Material thinking is paramount. This can produce raw images, in which he captures the restlessness of our times, to images of absolute stillness.

His paintings, drawings and objects are part of private and public collections.
